Adding a vehicle to a Hot List

To add a vehicle to a hot list, first click on the hot list you wish to add to. Once you’re viewing the list, you can click the “Add New Entry” button.

To create a hot list entry, you must fill out at least one of the five vehicle identifiers (license plate number, license plate state, vehicle type, vehicle color, or vehicle make), the entry Expiration Date, and the Reason for the alert. The more refined your hot list entry, the better your alerts will be.

Entry	Notes
License Plate Number
Vehicle Type
Vehicle Color
Vehicle Make
Reason (required)	Reason options include Stolen Vehicle, Amber Alert, Wanted Person, and Stolen License Plate
Expiration Date (required)	You can enter the date this entry should expire from the hot list. Once your hot list entry expires, you will no longer receive alerts for that hot list entry.
Report ID	If your organization uses report numbers or case IDs, you can add them here.
Notes	Notes can include any information that would be helpful to your team. For example, “armed and dangerous” or “approach with caution.”

Once you’ve entered all your information, click “Add Entry.”

Hot List Alerts

By default, any hot list entry creates an Alert. Now your organization will be notified of any matching vehicles identified by your cameras or any shared networks.
